Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (8oz/225g each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder verify zero fillers
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs (thyme, rosemary, or oregano)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method

  1. Mix softened butter with salt, garlic powder, dried herbs, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut three diagonal slits on the top of each chicken breast, about ¼-inch deep.
  4. Spread the compound butter generously over the chicken breasts, pushing some into the slits.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, butter side up, ensuring they don't overlap.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove and allow to rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Note

  • For maximum flavor without carbs, ensure your garlic powder contains no anti-caking agents.
  • Chicken thickness affects cooking time—adjust accordingly and always verify with a thermometer.
  • The diagonal cuts allow butter to penetrate deeper into the meat for better flavor distribution.
  • Allow chicken to come to room temperature for 20 minutes before cooking for more even results.
