Method
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease.
- Pound chicken breasts to ¾-inch even thickness between plastic wrap.
- Mix olive oil with salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Coat chicken in the seasoning mixture, then add ½ cup barbecue sauce.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Brush with remaining sauce and bake 4–7 minutes more until internal temperature reaches 160–165°F.
- Rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
- Try using different barbecue sauce varieties or adding a tablespoon of honey for extra sweetness.
