Ingredients
  

  • – 2 lb chicken breasts 3-4 chicken breasts
  • cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cracked black pepper
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • – ¼ tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • Olive oil spray or 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Meat thermometer
  • Small bowl for spice mix
  • Pastry brush (for BBQ sauce)
  • Tongs for flipping chicken

Method
 

  1. Mix spices together in a small bowl.
  2. Pat chicken dry and pound to even thickness if needed.
  3. Lightly coat chicken with oil, then season with spice mix on both sides.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 360°F if required by your model.
  5. Place chicken in air fryer basket, presentation side down.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip and cook 8-10 minutes more until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Brush BBQ sauce on chicken and cook 1-2 more minutes until sauce caramelizes and chicken reaches 165°F.
  8. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Keep any leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze them for as long as 3 months.
  • For extra flavor, try mixing two different BBQ sauce varieties.
